Nintendo Wii not working

Okay so I brought my Wii to my friends house, And when I got home it just stopped working it powers on but nothing appears on the screen! And once it's on it won't turn off even if I hold it for 5 seconds (Warranty expired so Nintendo is not an option)

Keep holding the power button down. It should eventually turn off.
If not, unplug it, then plug it back it. It should work.

I unpluged it and it still does the same thing! My controller doesnt connect either!

Unplug it from the TV and all together. Plug everything back in. Take the batteries out of the Wiimote nd switch them in the opposite place (on the other side).
