Help with a Wii game; not reading the disc. - 08-22-08

I put in Mario Strikers: Charged into the Wii (it being almost completely rid of scratches and smudges), I go to the Disc Channel, press Start, the screen turns black, and then it goes right back to the Wii Menu without any error messages or codes. And it only happens with this game.

There's probably an easy answer to this question, its just that its never happened to me, and I've done all I can do/all i want to do. I'll give out karma if someone can help. THX!!!

Well the disc could be broken or it could be a problem with the Wii
If the Disc has a very bad scratch it could stop the Wii from reading it properly
You should ring Nintendo Customer Support and theyll help ;)
Thats really all the advice i can give :)
Hope this helps

Well many of the Wii games often require you to update your entire Wii system.
Have you done that?
If that doesnt work, try to run the game in another Wii, a friend maybe, see if that works. Then you will know if there is something wrong with the disc itself. ;)

Hope I could be of help.

I havent heard of anything like this before. Although my friends Wii eventually wouldent read any disc at all...! Then again, he didnt take very good care of it...

Ewww..Mac. ImgBurn works best. Not going into detail though. I like to keep stuff like this to myself. It's too good for some people to know...and this is a bit off topic...
