It's okay. Also, the calculator is very simple. Here, I'll explain it. I hope you find this useful.
For starters, besure you are using the Diamond and Pearl IV Calculator. The older generations have a different calculator.
Anyway, the calculator is in two halfs, the left and the right. You enter your information on the left, and get your results on the right. For now, let's ignore the right, and focus on entering your Pokemon's stats on the left.
At the top of the left half, there are four boxes, the two on the left are Text Boxes, the two on the right are Drop-down Boxes. You select a Pokemon from the first Drop-Down Box , and the nature the Pokemon has in the box below it. You can ignore the two Text Boxes, they're only to help you find what you need on the Drop-Down Boxes' lists if your having trouble.
Right below those four boxes are another thirteen Text Boxes. One is off to the left side by itself, that is where you type in the Pokemon's Level. The other twelve are grouped in two rows, six on top, and six on bottom. You type in the Pokemon's current stats in the top boxes, and any Effort Points those stats have in the bottom boxes. From left to right, the stats for each box is:
HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, and Speed.
Since the Regice will be untouched, it obviously will have no Effort Points. So, you can just leave those bottom boxes empty. Once you have everything typed in, hit the button labeled "Calculate IVs". It's in the lower right corner of the calculator(not the corner of the screen).
Once the page has reloaded, a bunch of numbers will be displayed on the right. Those are the IVs. You will notice that they are arranged in rows and columns.
Each row contains information about a specific stat. The stats are in the same order as the text boxes you filled out earlier.
The columns contain different sets of IVs, one is the maximum, one is the minimum, and one is the average between the two. You see, the IV Calculator isn't exact, so it gives you all three sets. Mostly, when someone asks for the IVs, they want the average.
There is also one other column. This fourth column contains various percentages(%). These are the differences between the minimum and maximum possible IVs, in percent form.
Finally, at the bottom, right above the "Calculate IVs" button, it will tell you the Type and Base Power of the move Hidden Power for that particular Pokemon. Most people asking about the IVs of a Pokemon also want this information.
I hopevthis little guide I made is of use to you! ^.^
