- A new instalment to the Nintendo Wars Series for the NDS.
The world of Advance Wars has fallen victim to a continuous chain of catastrophic events. Meteor storms, earthquakes, tidal waves and every other natural disaster known to man has wiped out over 90% of the world population and covered the world in a thick blanket of ash, blocking the little sunlight that remains. The 10% that have survive these events are devoted to taking control of the new world or helping those who cannot defend themselves. As you can tell, the storyline is now a lot more mature and darker than previous Nintendo Wars titles.
- New COs.
Within the 90% lost are all the Commanding Officers of the last series, Andy, Max, Nell, Kanbei and all the rest meaning a new breed of Commanding Officers are now at our disposal.
- New Strategies.
Say goodbye to the newb tactic of CO powers, 'Super' CO powers and 'Dual Strikes'. Now the game relies on pure strategy and skill with a new skill called 'Command Zones' in which COs actually become part of a unit and boost abilities to the surrounding force.
- New Units.
Along with re-names and re-dos of old units e.g. Mechs are 'Bazooka' and Aircraft Carries can produce planes, Dark Conflict has a new line of speciality units such as Flares, Motorbikes and Anti-tanks. You can also buy Mobile Workshops that allow you to build new units on the move.
- And much more.
There are over 100 free battle maps in-game along with a detailed and dramatical Story Mode.
