NP to feature FF4 feature.

I just received my copy of Nintendo Power on the mail today. And I was surprised to see a game that was announced last year. Whether on consoles or handhelds, if you're into the Final Fantasy franchise (like myself). Then I urge you to pick up the May issue of Nintendo Power Magazine. Like MKW last month, NP will be featuring an in depth, 10-page scoop on the DS remake, Final Fantasy IV. It also includes an interview with the creator and the re-creator. The game looks great and if it's any good as the FF3 remake, I'm definitely picking it up.

I presume you mean Final Fantasy IV ;) Yeah, I read on the interweb that it was confirmed for a North American release, so I can't wait to read the article now.

As a recap, here is a short summary of the article that states what is new besides the obvious graphical upgrade and dialogue for this remake of Final Fantasy IV:

• Charactesr such as Rosa and Edward receive an upgrade to their abilities; for example, Rosa's Pray now recovers MP in addition to HP
• Rydia gets a new summon where it will replace a character during battle similar to part X; you have free reign over its stat development
• Players are now able to form a party with the characters of their choice during certain parts of the storyline as opposed to the GBA remake where you can change party members near the end of the game
• New augments are key items which will allow any character to learn a new ability

Finally, been waiting for a release date on this game, been trying to play in Japanese but it's not the same.

Meh, I might get this game even without wifi, but still, it's a shame that they didn't AT LEAST throw in some Moogle-trading feature!
