DSWare, ideas. - 10-08-2008

Didn't know where I could post this so, I just chucked it here. So anywaaaay...

As most of you know, the upcoming DSi will have special DSWare, downloadable games similar to WiiWare. And with the advent of such a marvelous feature, come short-but-sweet games that really shouldn't cost full price (as is the case in many DS games, though sadly most without the "sweet" bit). So yeah, what kinds of games will they be? Short adventures? Simple puzzlers? Or maybe Game Boy game remakes, in a tip of the hat to the DS's big brother's Virtual Console?

This idea came to me just now. There could be a The World Ends With You spin-off title, centered around the in-game... game, Tin Pin. I thought it was an amusing little mini-game, and I thought it might be fun to play it online. Maybe come up with a new Pin leveling up system, where you can fuse two or more pins to make a new, more powerful one, and you gain experience by playing matches, bot online and off... Plus, DS download play for people who haven't got it. Of course, it shouldn't really go for more than 300 to 500 Points (3 to 5 bucks). (You listening, Squeenix?)

So yeah, anyway. Anybody got any ideas for DSWare games?

V Kayzee's reaction when he sees the G&N board. V

Well, here's what I think the pricing system will be, for one thing.
GB games: $2
GBC Games: $5
GBA: $8
DSWare: Any price

Anyway, a few years ago, a game called Beats came out that you could download onto your PSP. It was a music game where you could import your own music from a memory stick.

Why doesn't the DS do this? It might even be able to use all the buttons, the touch screen, AND the mic. It'd be hardcore.

That would be neat, I loves me some Rhythm-Action games, and with the SD cards, importing music is no problem.

...Jesus Christ, something just came to me.

Ouendan DLC.

We'll probably see more than a few WarioWare games. They're quick and easy, and not hard to make, so Ninty's probably gonna pump a few more out while they can.

Yeah, they'll probably add all sorts of weird DLC things.
