AC: City Folk to receive DLC, character crossover. - 07-16-2008

In a recent IGN interview with Animal Crossing creator, Katsuya Eguchi, many speculation left about the game was steadily answered by the man himself. Now Animal Crossing will be receiving DLC free of charge. Also, for those of you who aren't within the Wi-Fi status, you can download the updates via DS, then transport it over to your Wii game. In addition to that, you can also use your previous Animal Crossing DS and port all character data onto your Wii among other aspects regarding Wii to DS connectivity.

I suggest you check out the full interview here: IGN: E3 2008: Eguchi Talks Animal Crossing

Stay foward.

Maybe, the Pay-to-Play ideal they once tried to work out is quickly diminishing, nice one.
And more DS-Wii connectivity is definitely what we need, EVEN if it's just transferring characters, that's the grand idea of the year!

But yet, what ruins the mood is that I don't have Animal Crossing: Wild World.

Nice find Areku.
The more I read, the more excited I get. It sounds awesome! I reckon that it will be released around the same time in all regions. He said holiday season and it would be pretty dumb to release it after Christmas in the UK, and he also said "the game will be a great holiday present for everyone" so.. fingers crossed :]

I hear your concern. Normally games of this caliber are shipped simultaneously worldwide, or within a weeks range. Alternatively, you can import.
