How do U trade ship parts?

I have heard that you can trade ship parts, but how?

1. You will be able to start trading ship parts as soon as you obtain a special item from the 3rd temple.
2. Once obtain, you'll have to use your all the current tools at your disposal to unlock the singing bard.
3. Once you unlock him, you deposit any item into a pink box.
4. Save and quit the game, and then play an online game with the person you are trading with.
5. Win or lose, check back with the singing bard in the main adventure after your online game to receive your item.

it gives the game character and its fun

or do "tag mode" or wireless battle with a friend (DS to DS) to trade. these are more controled than wi-fi.

only wi-fi, and thats the reason you may want to do it on this site or another site that you can talk to the person you are trading with while trading

or you can talk to your friend who is less than 30 feet away. and do it like that
