Best buy didn't even have the game in the system and gamestop knew nothing about the card scanner

No its just that Duelist Genesis pack disapeared from the shop and now all I have is old packs , promo packs or "random pack".

And is there a number thing so you can add your own cards on there?

When I google it, people are saying the GX packs are unlocked when you reach Bifrost levels. But from my own experience I unlocked the Random Pack when I beat Odin and the credits rolled.

Its true you do bifrost lv1 You get Light of Destruction, and Hidden Arsenal EX 1,
Bifrost lv2 to get the Phantom Darkness and Hidden Arsenal EX 2.
