Once you use a copy Pokemon on wii you have to use the same game. That's why it didn't work at your friends.
Ok if you mean update, yes you can. If you, for example, copied Luxio, Turtwig, Zubat, geodude, and Dialga/Palkia to the game they would be in it. But if your pokemon in Diamond/Pearl lvl changed or evolved when you go to copy your pokemon the card that had the pokemon on there would be updated if you ever did anything with them (evolved, lvled up, or hatched from an egg)
But to warn you, if you copied your pokemon from D/P and you traded them the next time you want to update your Battle Pass the pokemon will still be there but if you went to see it's stats then it will say that your pokemon was traded in D/P and if you remove this pokemon from your battle Pass you can't earn it bak. But if you traded your pokemon in D/P with somebody the pokemon would still be in PBR but u will not be able to move it to another battle pass.
I hope this explanation helped
thanks for your help :D
i was wondering about that too actually MarioMitch

You want to know why your pokemon transfering did'nt work at your friends house?
Its because your allowed only one diamond/pearl game per each file
you make!
I had the same problem!
BTW (by the way) all you have to do is keep updating
it the game will change everything including items and
stats
:)
