On April 7th of this year, a patent for
Wii Fit Plus was filed in the Japanese Patent Office. We've just discovered that there will indeed be a new
Wii Fit,
Wii Fit Plus, being released sometime in 2009.
Gameplay
Not much is known about this game yet, but the gameplay will most likely be similar to that of the first game in the series,
Wii Fit, which utilizes the
Wii Balance Board.
While not official, there is a possibility that it will also feature the use of the new
Wii MotionPlus acessory, which enables more complex motion when using the WiiMote.
Features
The confirmed new aspect of this game is that players will be able to use the Nintendo WiFi connection to enhance gameplay. How, we aren't yet sure, but it will probably allow you to post your workout data online for the world to see, as well as compete against others.
