Overview
Now, if there's one thing that Nintendo has been notorious for, it's the overbearing amount of games in their library that are aimed toward the casual, family-friendly buyer. An M rated game is seen once every blue moon, unlike the loads of mature content seen on rivaling consoles. As you are probably well aware, the majority of the hardcore gaming population doesn't like this one bit, and has been protesting for change for quite some time.
Finally though, we could be getting somewhere with Nintendo. High Voltage Software has begun on a new project,
The Grinder.
Storyline
You and your elite team of soldiers are recruited by an organization known as
Book, and are entrusted to keep the population of monsters under control.
Gameplay
The Grinder plays as a typical FPS would, and is inspired by
Left 4 Dead, so you'll certainly get your fill of shooting up creatures in the streets.
When playing in either 2-4 player multiplayer or Online mode, the split-screen feature will be used.
The Grinder will be using the
Quantum3 game engine, and the developers have promised that they are trying to both push the number of players on-screen to the max, but ensure no loading times.
Features
As mentioned earlier, the game will have up to 4 player online play available. This will let players use
Wii Speak to communicate with each other during co-op or competitive play.
You will be able to completely customize the controls that you use during gameplay.
The Grinder will incorporate the use of the WiiMotion Plus accessory.
