Your goal in this game is to save solar systems throughout the galaxy from waves of alien spacecrafts with your own armed spacecraft. The gameplay is pretty intense with enemies coming from all directions. The visual effects of exploding enemies gives the game a more action-packed feel as bits of debris fly across the screen.

The controls for the
Wii game are motion sensitive with the remote and nun-chuck combination and the
DS game is completely touch screen sensitive for movement meaning the game is more fast paced and relies on speed and reaction more than ever before.

Unlike before, Geometry Wars allows you to play with a second player with modes such as: co-op, hot seat, simultaneous and versus.
