Now, I turned my
Wii on recently to check the WiiWare list. Hmm, alright, so I searched for the Family series to see if Nintendo decided to release them all or not.
So I started looking... Glide Hockey.. Ping Pong.. Logic.. Slot Car Racing.. Golf.. Tennis-... wait, what??? Tennis? This is going in order so... O.O They skipped over one.
That's right folks, Nintendo deliberately skipped over one game. The name of the game? Okiraku Daifugou
Wii taken from a casual card game. It's probably one of the few games in the Okiaku (Family) series that is worth playing. It has everything you could ask for and more (coming up soon (below))

The Rules:
The game is meant to be played with four players, but can be managed to be played with less. Just not as much fun. The player should have experience at counting, adding, and concentration. The game usually lasts between 8-20 minutes.
You begin by dealing 14 cards to two players and 13 to the other two. The aim is to discard every card in your hand and win by going out. You start by setting one card down of any suit or number, and players must alternate discarding a number or face higher than the card you set. In order, the lowest card is 3 and the highest is 2, with the joker trumping all other cards. When nobody else can set a card higher than the one you set, the round will end, and it will be your turn. After one player goes out, then the others play until the third player goes out. First place receives 2 points, and second place receives 1 point. Third and fourth place receives 0 points and must relinquish 1-2 of their highest card next round. There are five rounds. If there's a three way tie, then the game continues until at least there's a two way tie.
Your permitted to set 2 of a kind, 3 of a kind and so on. Also, your allowed to set a straight flush 3 cards and above, as long as its the same suit. If you manage to set a 4 of a kind or a straight flush of 4 cards, then the game goes backwards until somebody else plays another set of 4. Meaning the 2 that was your highest vaule card is now your lowest, and your three being the highest.
There's four catches to the game. The first is any suit of 8. If you possess one in your hand at any time, and can play, you can activate it causing the chain to stop and automatically becomes your turn. The second is trumping a joker. If a joker was played, normally all players would forfeit and it would be that players turn. However, if you have a 3 (or 2 playing backwards) it will start a new set, trumping the joker, and ending the chain being your turn. Third and most interesting is if you won first place last round, and another player wins first place this round before you could, then you automatically lose, losing all cards in your hand and receive fourth place. And finally is losing even if you won. If your last card to play is an 8, highest card value, or a joker, and play it. By playing one of those trump cards, you automatically lose, even if you were meant to win.

Think you understand now? It's a little tricky, but after a few trail and errors, you'll be playing like a pro in no time at all. Now this is what makes me lawl, because Nintendo thought you couldn't understand it because its a foreign card game, therefore, they won't release it. Will they in the future? I'm not holding my breath.
This game has the dreaded, cursebound Pay to Play service for this game. Buying addition card packs for 100 points, and 1,100 points to buy the whole set. What makes this game really shine though is the Wi-Fi play on it. For the first time in the Okiraku series, you can goes against other playing, and fight for first place on the leaderboard. But playing against other players is not a cakewalk compared to facing the CPU. It involves more strategy, and not having the right hand will keep you on your toes. There are two mini-games which aren't so great. Concentration and Speed against an opponent. Woo-hoo -_-.
I enjoy this game A LOT, and if you own an imported system like I do, get this game. You'll have so much fun playing. Don't own the game, then sit down and play it with your friends at the table.
