Very Poor Wii Titles

Now Leipzig has begun as you all should be aware of. Anyway on my local Nintendo website where I learn all the goodies that have been shown off at this event, I have been treated to what i think is some of the most pityful excuses for games EVER! I'm talking about games like Ninjabread Man, Hamster Heroes, Rock and Roll Adventures and all this stuff. If you have seen these titles you would know what I mean when I say "Who DESIGNED these games?"



First of all, the visual aspects of these games look terrible. They look terrible to the point where they put the PS2 and maybe even the DS to shame. But I know what you are gonna say, "I thought graphics didn't matter anymore?". Well.... yeah they do, the graphics of these games look dangerously slapped on and unfinished! If the game looks bad what else would that suggest? Yes, the controls would also be slapped on and unfinished which would mean it would play just like it looks, ugly and unfinished.

Oh hey, it's Super Monkey Ba..... wait huh?

What also gets me going is the lack of originality for some of these games. I mean the amount of racing games this company is pulling out:

Urban Extreme
Myth Makers Super Kart GP
Hamster Heroes
Monster Trux Arenas
Monster Trux Extreme
Mini Desktop Racing
Action Girlz Racing
London Taxi Rushhour
Myth Makers Orbs of Doom
Cruis'n

It seems that this list continues to grow and thats just the racing games. As you could probably assume by the names of the games, most of them are the same game with different tracks or textures.

Believe what you want, but this game is a Wii Title :eek:

But you're asking "Well, I'm not gonna buy these games so why should we worry?" Well, games like this could and probably will start up the whole "kiddy image" that Nintendo had just destroyed that the Gamecube left for them. I don't know about you but if I was an undecided future console buyer and I walked into a store with these games owning the Wii shelves I'd give the Wii a miss straight away. These games are just ugly to look at and judging by the screens look even worse when playing them which could only suggest the controls have been very quickly glued down.

And that, is my rant!

Developers looking to take advantage of the Wii's popularity (and aim towards casual gamers), it seems... those that don't give a care about quality and dishing out whatever they can to make money. I don't really have anything to say about this... except that it's one heck of a shame.

But, as they say, "mediocrity is the norm"... so it was to be expected, I guess. I don't trust anyone but the big-name companies to make good games, anyway.

Those games shouldn't even be allowed on the Gamecube. =\

As for the kiddy image thing, I don't care. Nintendo's had that for years and... Oh wait, they've sold more Wii's than 360's and Ps3's. ^_^

I think the stores by my house don't even put them in stock. I guess they know they're aweful and not to bother.

Those looks like crap, I am not even joking. The last one looks like a crappy rip off of Excite Truck but with cars. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't sell more than 5000 copys of each of them.

Ugh.. I hope these sort of games don't sell well. It will only encourage other pathetic games to be made, which will lead to the Wii's destruction, as well as possibly this gen of video games. If you don't think this is possible, just wait and see. If other game companies see that they can sell tons of copies of a game when they put little to no effort in to, then other companies will do it also, destroying video games as we know them. =|

I pray to GOD these games end up selling under 10,000 copies or so.

The store near my house hasn't stocked these and I bet they will keep it that way, they only stock games they know are cool lol.

Those Wii games make the Wii look bad. They don't deserve to be on the Wii if their gonna make them that bad lol.
