New or Old Dueling

Do you like the old styles of dueling such as the old Yugi days with those cards such as Dark Magician or the New Duel style of today with Blackwings and others?

Im fine with both.
I kind of prefer the newer one, because a lot of the cards have stricter regulations.

Synchros are ok but archetypes are being so cheap. Wtf with fableds having so much special summons, Infernity/X-Saber/Blackwing swarming, LS/Glads too much destruction power and negations, Ice Barriers stop attacks like Gravity Bind does but Gravity Bind is limited, yet Ice Barriers negation cards can be the whole deck.

On old cards, special summons meant something. Not something to spam from turn 1. Back then you timed Monster Reborn right or fusioned/ritual after finally drawing them. Took work to acomplish these.

Old dueling was better. Now, it seems like some cards -if not all of the new ones- are extremely powerful and cheap, as if they had been designed and developed by people who didn't want to keep the balance of the game and had as their main purpose to always win. That's why I don't play Yu-Gi-Oh! anymore, because I think that now it requires no skill to achieve victory even against an experienced duelist.

Old Dueling has it still in the casual format. Good old fashioned dog fighting, rituals fusions
Thousand Eye Restrict still rules! Normal monsters yeah those were the days.

I kinda entered the competitive scene quite a ways after the Twilight format, when TSHD came out and X-Sabers ruled supreme, so I wouldn't know what old-school meta was like. But then again this isn't about metagames or anything lol.

Its not being competitive when everyone is playing the samething. That's why I lost my competitiveness.

I just got the game 4 days ago, I haven't played Yugi-oh since 6th grade... nw im 20&in college but anyways.....

the new dueling is nice&more interesting... but i sort of miss the old days of dueling. it seems like fusions have been replaced by syncro monsters. back to learning for me.
