Friendcodes Staff

FC Staff

Welcome to the Friendcodes Staff Page!
Here you can find out just what each staff member does... or at least, what they should be doing!

The Graphics Team

Grafix

This team infuses FC with life via colour, art, and graphic skills to blow your mind. Those alluring banners for special events and announcements? The abundance of funky awards you can earn as a community member? You have the Graphics Team to thank. These guys take an idea and create something unimaginable to help bring in participants for tourneys, challenges and other community-driven events around Friendcodes.

The Writers

Grafix

The News Writers

The News Writers fill the front page with fresh Nintendo-related news and articles. They're on the ball and quick on the mark - you have to be quick if you're reporting gaming news! With the industry bustling with updates and additions, these guys bring you the latest and greatest (and sometimes the worst) goss on web.

The Reviewers

Imagine if one of your school subjects was to study games. How cool would that be? Well for a Reviewer, that's basically what they have to do. They study the nitty gritty of a game; get right in there and pick it apart, and then they present you (the members) with the fine details. But instead of them getting marked on their work, they give the game they're reviewing a score at the end. This makes it easier for you to decide whether it's worthy of your time to play!

The WiFi Releases Writers

Currently there is only one person dedicating themselves to this task, and they've been doing a great job keeping us up to date. The position is simply to keep us informed on the details of upcoming WiFi games, so we know exactly what to look forward to and when we can get our hands on it. We could probably use more writers in this area, because it doesn't just have to be the most popular and anticipated titles - anything WiFi goes. If you're interested, PM Dani or Rik.

The Magazine Team

Mag Team

Bringing their opinions to PDF format. If it weren't for the digital distribution, the way this team writes would be extremely similar to a magazine you could find on the shelves. Their editorials can shock and their reviews can awe, but sound logic and critical thinking provide them the backbone for fantastic articles.

The Chat Staff

Chat Operator

The Chat Operators are responsible for monitoring activity in the official IRC chat. Make sure you're on your best behaviour when you're chilling out in the chat room, because the Chat Staff are always on their guard! However, the chat is a great place to relax, and the staff are friendly to talk to, so don't forget to drop by.

The Moderators

Moderator

Moderators observe all the happenings on the forums. They're available for reporting abuse and bad behaviour, and they do their best to keep the forums tidy from spam and rule-breaking material. You basically have the moderators to thank for the forums being a safe and friendly place to hang out on. They're pretty easy-going and love to chat and play WiFi just like everyone else - but they put on their no-nonsense hat when they really have to!

The Administrators

Admin

The Forum Administrators

The Forum Administrators have similar responsibilities to the moderators, plus a few more. This means sorting out conflicts the moderators can't resolve on their own, appointing and recruiting new staff, planning and approving site activities and features, adding or changing forums and hubs, fixing the odd technical problem and so forth. The Forum Admins try their best to keep up, but sometimes they get a little waylaid trying to respond to everyone and sort things out, so be patient!

The Site Administrators

These guys are big, mean and ugly. One look and they will turn you to stone. I'm serious, one day I nearly got eaten alive.

All jokes aside, Site Administrators watch over the site in general. Most of all, they keep the staff organised, and make sure everything is functioning as it should be around the site. They will plan out major forum rearrangements, site additions and features. Recruitment of staff is usually left to the Forum Moderators and Editors, and Site Admins will generally not do any sort of moderating (unless they are particularly bored, which is not often!). It's a big enough job just trying to sort out everything else!

The Developers

Developer

Developers are Friendcodes' builders or brick layers. They put complex features together from scratch with their programming and web developing skills. They are usually fairly alienated from the community activities because coding can take up a lot of their time and concentration, but a few of them can be lively and responsive... if you poke them with a stick. Hard.
